51MXY is a five-position, single-pole, momentary contact switch. Referring to the vector diagram above, actuation of any one of the four switches, X₁, X₂, Y₁, Y₂, is accomplished by deflection of the operating handle in the desired direction along the "X" or "Y" axis. Internal guides prevent the simultaneous actuation of more than one switch. Release of the operating handle automatically returns it to the "OFF" position. Note! The actuation axes, "X" and "Y", are inclined at an angle of 45º to the switch case axis.
