51DXY is a five-position, single-pole, maintained contact switch. Referring to the vector diagram above, actuation of any one of the four switches, X₁, X₂, Y₁, Y₂, is accomplished by deflection of the operating handle in the desired direction along the "X" or "Y" axis. Internal guides prevent the simultaneous actuation of more than one switch. When the operating handle is released, the switch remains in the actuated mode until the handle is manually reset to the "OFF" position. Note! The actuation axes, "X" and "Y", are inclined at an angle of 45º to the switch case axis.
