91DMXY is a nine-position, single-pole, maintained/momentary contact switch. Referring to the accompanying vector diagram, actuation of any one of the four inboard switches, X₁, X₃, Y₁, Y₃, is accomplished by deflection of the operating handle a short distance along the desired axis. If the handle is released at this point, it remains in position and the inboard switch contacts are maintained. Full range deflection along the selected axis actuates the corresponding outboard switch, while the previously actuated inboard switch remains actuated. Releasing the handle at any of the outboard positions returns it automatically to the corresponding inboard position. From any inboard position, the handle must be returned manually to the "OFF" position.
