71MX is a seven-position, single-pole, momentary contact switch. Referring to the accompanying vector diagram, actuation of the inboard switches, 1 or 4, is accomplished by deflection of the operating handle a short distance to either side of the "OFF" position. Further deflection will actuate the mid-range contacts, 2 or 5, while its associated inboard switch remains actuated. Full range deflection of the handle in either direction actuates all switches common to that side. Release of the operating force allows the handle to return automatically to the "OFF"position.
